What is the Visa prepaid card?
- The Visa prepaid card is a card that allows you to charge money up front and make payments within that amount. Since you can only use the amount that is loaded on the card, you don't need to worry about overdrafts. There is no credit screening, so anyone can easily get one. They can be used at any Visa member store nationwide.

Precautions for use of prepaid cards

Please be aware of the following regarding the use of prepaid cards.
・Immediate reflection
The balance of the card will be reflected immediately, but transactions at some affiliate shops cannot be reflected immediately.
・Inability to overdraft
It is not possible to use more than the amount loaded on the card. However, depending on the structure of some affiliate shops, the inability to reflect payments immediately may allow overdrafting.
・Checking your balance
You cannot check the balance of the card at the shop or on your receipt.Please check your balance within the app.
・Cannot be combined with other cards
Multiple Visa cards (prepaid or otherwise) cannot be used for a single transaction.
・Lump-sum payment only
Payments must be made in full. Payment in installments is not accepted.
・ID verification
A signature is required to verify your identity.Some affiliate shops do not require a signature.
・About receipt notation
Since the payment will be made using credit, your receipt will say ”credit” for payment method.
・Refund timing
When making a return, refunds will be made to the card approximately 60 days later at the latest.
・Available shops
Use of prepaid cards may not be possible at some member stores shops such as highways and gas stations.

- Only the contracted person may use the card. Regardless of reason, lending the card to anyone else is illegal. Please make sure the person applying is the person who will be using the card.

If you get a physical card issued, you can use the card at Visa member stores nationwide. To complete the purchase, a signature is needed. PIN numbers and PayWave cannot be used with this card.

About the expiration date of your Epre balance

Your Epre balance has an expiration date.

What is the card issuance handling fee?
- The card issuance handling fee is required when having the physical card issued to you.It costs 300 yen (tax included) when applying for a physical card for the first time.The fee will automatically be deducted from your card's balance. Please make sure that your card's balance is sufficiently charged. If it is insufficient, please apply after charging.

Precautions when applying for a physical card

When applying for a physical card, please read and agree to the following.
・A card issuance fee will be charged upon issuance of a physical card. Please make sure that your card balance is higher than the card issuance fee.
・You will need to register your email address upon issuance of your physical card. If you have spam protection enabled, please change your settings to allow emails from the domain name ”@epre.co.jp”
・Please enter your card mailing address as it appears on your personal identification documents. Please note that you will not be able to change the mailing address after the application is completed.
・Physical cards will be delivered in 1-2 weeks. If you have not received your card after 3 weeks, please contact us.
・The physical card you receive cannot be used until you activate the card on the app. Please activate the card as soon as you receive it.

What will happen to the card number of my virtual card if I get a physical card issued?
- The card number will not be changed simply by applying for a physical card. After you receive your physical card, you will need to activate it on the app to be able to use it. When the card activation is complete, your card number will be changed from the one used for the virtual card to the card number on the front of your physical card. Please note that you will need to change your card number to the new one if you have registered your card number with any online stores.

What is the document to verify your identity?
- Documents issued by public institutions with your name and other information printed on them or documents issued as proof of your identity in general can be used. Examples of such documents include driver's license, passport, card-type health insurance card, My Number card, residence card, and special permanent resident card.

How long will it take for the physical card to arrive?
- It will be sent to your registered mailing address within one to two weeks of application. If you have not received it after 3 weeks, please contact us.

This service cannot be used to make the following payments.
・Payment of monthly or ongoing subscription fees
This includes, payments for electricity, gas, water, insurance, newspapers, telecommunications, broadcasting, and other services where card information is registered and payments are made on a monthly basis or automatically renewed after several months
・Payments at gas stations and expressway tolls (manned booths)
・Payments for in-flight purchases
・Payments at some hotels
・Charges made to various prepaid cards and electronic money
・Purchases of high cash-value products
This service is not available for the purchase of high-value cash products such as gift certificates, bullet train tickets, and precious metals
・Payments at IC-reading terminals

What is application number?
- The application number is an 8-digit number issued when you apply for a membership at one of our partners.If you do not have this number, you will not be able to register for membership even if you download the Epre app. So please make sure to apply at YOLO JAPAN. The application number will be valid for 24 hours. If the number has expired, please apply once more.

What is post-paid charging?
- Even if you do not have money on hand, you can charge your card through the app and make purchases in no time at Visa member stores. The charge payment can be made at a convenience store by the end of the following month.
